The baking books I have all say to use a non-metallic container such as ceramic or glass to make and store a sourdough starter.Is plastic ok?
I once stored sourdough starter in a commercial plastic gallon salad dressing container because it had a handle and wide mouth. I had no problems with it.
With Cheryl. I've used much-used yogurt tubs with no problems.
