40th birthday - where to go

sichuanjunkie Feb 14, 2013 02:40 PM

i'm looking for somewhere reasonable no more than £25-30 per head in a central London/City of London restaurant that serves French or modern European/ British food or fusion food to celebrate my 40th birthday.
its a nightmare as a few restaurant i looked at like the Criterion does a great deal for £23 but that is for tables of less than 10, for tables more than 10 they told me the price for set menu will be £46 :(

Does anybody know of any decent restaurants that are worth checking out. I want somewhere that is a bit special but i am guessing that comes at a price?

thanks SJ

Brasserie Zédel might be a place to consider for that price. Search above as there have been a few threads about this restaurant.
