THE BOOK OF JEWISH FOOD by Claudia Roden
This week I am going to look through the book for recipes.
I am planning to use this book for Passover(Pesach)
and several other Jewish cookbooks.

Can I scream at you now? I haven't even gotten my Shalach Manot list finalized. But I am ready to hit the miniature liquor bottles I bought for them. :-)

I'm going with a Southern theme this year. Homemade hamataschen - some traditional prune and maybe poppyseed, some creative, pecan pie, peach cobbler, maybe bourbon sweet potato pie, and maybe an Elvis (PB & B - banana, not bacon). Miniature bottles of Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, couldn't find the minis of Rebel Yell. I'll hit the locally made aisle in the supermarket for more ideas. I wanted to use samplers of House-Autry biscuit mixes but they wouldn't sell me the sample sizes. I may use some Bone Suckin' products because they're just that good. Still searching around for just the right things. Hey, I've got a whole week and a half still.
