Food lab to 'reverse engineer'?

LATrapp Feb 12, 2013 07:44 PM

Does anyone know if a way to figure out the ingredients and percentages of a certain food item? I remember hearing about people trying to figure out KFC's secret mix of spices. What I'm trying to do is be able to figure out a dry BBQ spice rub that I love and would like to be able to whip up at home.

Would love to hear any thoughts on this!

paulj- Thanks for the link! Looks interesting although probably too costly to be worthwhile. Just out of curiosity I'll give them a ring and get some info.
