higher end seafood lunch and california uni

my apologies if this is rather repetitive but my searching didn't give me a good sense, just more confusion.

i'm looking for a higher end seafood lunch menu and am very tempted by the 5 courses at marea. i'd love to know who else i should consider for a seafood specific meal at that time? i'd prefer more modern techniques and sensibilities, lighter rather than heavier.

also, where can one find cali uni in nyc at a reasonable price?

What day of the week do you wish to dine?

we're in town from fri-monday and were open, but probably aiming for the friday.

What about Le Bernardin? I don't know if I'd call it modern, but the flavors are subtle and nothing really struck me as "heavy." Are there any males in your party? Jackets are required for gentlemen in the main dining room at Le Bernardin (for both lunch and dinner), whereas Marea is "casual elegant."

we'll be fresh off the plane, so i'm not sure how that applies to women's dress codes. can you compare the food a bit between le bernardin and marea? the menus are quite different.

Le Bernardin is a French 4 star NYT restaurant and has 3 Michelin stars. However, it might be too formal for you if you are traveling that morning. It is formal. Whereas Marea is less so. Also keep in mind that your flight could be cancelled or delayed due to weather.
