Not to miss food spots in Shanghai
Am looking for some not to miss places to eat in Shanghai...Not after "fine dining" just great, authentic Chinese food. Two of the best meals I had in my life where in two table, one wok joints...but it was fresh, and incredibly tasty. Any suggestions?

Pull up outside a 1920s Spanish-style mansion in what was once Shanghai’s International Settlement, and you’ll be led through wood-panelled halls with tile-patterned floors to a private room decked out in early 20th-century style (there is no shared dining space). You might end up in a grand dining room with antique clocks on the mantelpiece, or a bedroom under the eaves – the smallest room seats two, the largest up to 40. At certain hours, your arrival will be accompanied by music drifting up from the grand piano downstairs.

re: PeterL
Yep, this is the most convenient food placement on the Chowhound Grand Tour. Just down a block from the historic Park Hotel on Huanghe Lu.
Also Ji Shi (I think the sign outside says Jesse) at 41 Tianping Lu in the French Concession. Shanghainese cuisine. Some dishes are seasonal, I loved the wild herbs wrapped with tofu. Small, certainly not fancy, very popular.
