Would like some tapenade ideas

I really like tapenade, but am having trouble figuring out what to eat it with, other than bread. Would love to hear how you like to have it. Thanks!

This is slightly off-topic, well, somewhat to the side, but - I found a variation on regular tapenade at Smitten Kitchen, with artichokes. It's lovely (and I do use it as a sandwich spread to enhance various sammiches). http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2009/0...

I'm always looking for canapes that don't use bread as a base. One of my favorites is grilled or toasted thin slices of polenta (homemade or in the tube), and tapanade is my favorite topping.

I like it with salmon too. I spread it over the top of raw salmon, skin side down, and bake it.

I'm assuming your tapenade is a traditional olive tapenade . . .

spread on sandwiches (a la muffaletta)
tossed with pasta
mix with cheese and stuff chicken breasts

Anything that you'd like with olives you can essentially sub in tapenade . . .
