1 cup of cream; what would you bake?

I've got 1 cup of cream in the fridge, an apartment chilly enough to turn the oven on, and a decently stocked pantry, and no commitments for several hours. I'm craving something baked, and sweet.

What would you make?

  1. Scones

    1. A baked custard. And brulee it afterwards!

Yep, custard is my first choice, too.

      2. Banana & chocolate chip bread pudding. You can substitute half the milk with cream. You can probably leave bananas out if you don't have any.

        Ina Garten's dill scones...

        1. scones, small batch of rice pudding or vanilla whipped cream for chocolate mousse.

          1. Whipping cream? Got fruit or berries? I'd bake some meringues and make mini pavlovas or Eton mess.

            1. Ganache. And then bake something to frost with it. The Hershey's Black Magic cake, maybe (a half recipe as cupcakes, perhaps, since you don't have enough cream for ganache to frost the whole thing).

              1. choc mousse!

                1. Corn bread. Of all the liquids I've ever added, cream is the best.

                  1. Actually I already did. Yesterday I bought a pair of Marie Callender's frozen pie crusts---needed one to make a quiche. I baked the other one and today am going to make a chocolate cream pie with rum in it. The cup of cream gets whipped to go on top. Should I be eating this? No. Am I sick to death of winter? Yes. Heroic measures are called for.

                    1. the orange dream cycle cake I made yesterday, used 1/2 cup full heavy cream and 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plus same but less amounts in frosting.
