Sullivan's in Palm Desert?

Need a recommendation for a grown-up dinner not too far from the Marriott Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage. The concierge recommended Sullivan's and all I know is it's a chain--which is not too promising. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Sullivan's serves good meat, poor side dishes and has terribly inept and amateurish service. The service problem is all too common in the Coachella Valley.

Sullivan's has a nice atmosphere. Live entertainment at the bar and cigar smoking outside. Cuistot in Palm Desert has good food. Palm Springs has some great places, Johannes $$$, Zin American Bistro $$, Copleys $$ all better for a 'foodie' than steak house in my opinion.

Sullivan's is a chain? If so, I wasn't aware of it. I've eaten at Sullivans almost every year while using our timeshare in Palm Desert and it's always terrific. When you see the crowd there every night, you know they must doing something very well.

Here's a tip, the steakknives are great--really hefty, like they're made for big steaks, and Sullivan's sells them for a really reasonable price.

I've sent lots of people to Sullivan's and no-one has ever been disappointed. The creme spinich is a wonderful side dish.

Shame on the Moon, but I haven't been there recently...
