Huge feast at my inlaws who cook for days. Lion head meatballs, nian go, noodles, shrimp/scallop/broccoli stir fry/ various fish (whole and fried filet), egg rolls (my mil's are the best), duck, roast chicken, fried steak w/ onions, but it varies. I usually bring dessert. I used to try to make it chinese, like those fried smiling sesame cookies, almond cookies, custard/coconut tarts but now I make whatever is requested. Probably cheesecake.

My favorite food is White Rabbit Candy ... 5 or 6 of them stuffed into my mouth at one time! [blushing]

Actually, in all seriousness, it's either Fa-Gao (發粿) or Longevity Peach Buns (壽桃包).

On the savory side, it's the dumplings my mom makes. Always just *this* much better than mine. And I'm always hoping and looking for that one dumpling with the hidden coin or treasure in it.

Lo Han Jai, also sometimes known as "Buddist's Delight" since it's supposedly vegetarian. (Not sure how that jives with the dried oysters that are a common ingredient, tho!) LHJ looks awful - like it's been eaten once already - but it is wonderful.

My mom, too, will be preparing a huge meal. Then I'm organizing a lunch for co-workers with another huge meal next week, after which we'll slip into a food coma.

We'll most likely be dining out - as we usually do - at one of our two favorite spots.

My mom cooks up a feast.

Dumplings and a whole fish are obligatory (even though she's vegetarian).

I will be meeting some former coworkers for lunch who are of Chinese heritage at a local Chinese restaurant.
