Florence for a few days - help!

After talking with friends who previously studied abroad in Florence, searching on Chow, and other sites I narrowed down choices for lunch and dinner. l will be traveling with my boyfriend who loves red meat, pork, etc. I generally do not eat these foods - mostly stick to chicken/fish/pasta. Let me know what you think! Thanks.

all antico vinaio

vini e vecchi sapori

  1. You've done your research!
All of your lunch choices are good ones. The only thing I would change is to go to Zeb for lunch instead of dinner.

I've never been to La Giostra, so I can't comment on that.
And I don't think Acqua al Due is that great anymore.
I'd at Al Tranvai: your boyfriend can get his meat fix, but there are also lots of great veggie and fish options.
Another newish place, with some great non-meat options is Pepo.

    Hope this helps!

    1. vini e vecchi sapori was one of my favorite meals in Florence. Do have your hotel book it for you in advance (I'm sure you've read all of the warnings about how tiny it is).

Il Santo Bevitore was my other favorite. Great room, really delicious food and the portions were a bit smaller than some of the other places, which I really appreciated.

      1. Try (for lunch) il santo bevitore if you're 'Oltrarno' i.e. on the other side of the arno...
