HOT cold-brewed coffee

I'm a college kid. I have no coffee making equipment , not even filter paper. Can I make cold brewed coffee -since it doesn't involve any coffee specific equipment- then heat it up for a hot coffee? How would the flavor profile be affected?
I am a recent coffee convert since starting college.

  1. That's pretty much the idea behind cold-brew, you create a concentrate that can be added to cold milk/water or heated (with added milk/water). Some people prefer cold-brewed because it releases less acidic flavor components (gentler on your stomach). Others dislike it because it doesn't fully develop the flavor of the coffee (some flavor elements require heat to fully develop). I'm in the cold-brew camp. If you start with good coffee you end up with a nicely-flavored concentrate that's good for hot and cold beverages.
