Any conveyor belt sushi left in San Diego?

Nothing is as entertaining to me as kaiten-zushi. Leucadia Sushi Bar just closed its doors, however, so I've been on the lookout for another place to watch sushi rotate around the room. It looks like GoGo Japan, Sushi Mori, and Hon Sushi all used to have conveyor belts but have since remodeled. Is anyone aware of a sushi joint in SD County where the conveyor belts are still running? Thanks in advance...

  1. I was waiting for the SD chowhounds to reply, but since it has been a few days since you posted with zero responses, I started feeling bad for you.

According to the four letter site starting with "Y" that shall not be mentioned on CH, former conveyor belt sushi restaurants Sushi Town in PB and Kabuki have closed.

There are some conveyor belt sushi restaurants up north in Irvine.

    Good luck!

Assuming you mean Yelp, we don't have any policy against people mentioning or linking to Yelp from Chowhound. We do prefer people not post links to their reviews there rather than sharing the info here, but posting links for general info is totally fine. Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

Something that San Diego does better than its neighbors to the north.

      2. Last time I was in Berkeley (that was some years ago, sigh) there was a sushi restaurant, quite near campus, that had a sort of conveyor belt--the sushi actually was on plates on top of small boats that floated around the chef's prep area in a small moat sort of thing....
