Anniversary dinner in Paris
My husband and I will celebrate our first wedding anniversary in Paris in May. I would like to do something special, but he is a fussy eater. No fish/seafood, will eat meat and poultry, pretty limited to steak frites and duck a la orange Please recommended a spot that will provide the celebratory vibe I seek and give him the "safe" options. We are staying in the 1st on rue St. Therese.

Have a look at Beef Club on the rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau... about a 10-min walk from the un-sainted rue Thérèse. Usually a very festive-- and trendy-- buzz.
Or to make an evening of it, dinner at the very historic Brasserie la Coupole on the boulevard Montparnasse @ rue Vavin... while not exactly foodie quality, the food is decent enough and will appeal to hubby... and then a stroll to the very romantic and stylish Piano Bar at the Closerie des Lilas. Finally a cuddle in the back of a taxi on the way back to your hotel. For extra romance, tell the driver to take you by the boulevard Invalides to the Pont Alexandre III to the the Place Concorde, Quai Tuileries, Louvre and rue Pyramides. A a bit of a detour but worth the few extra euros.
