Forget Frog and the Peach

  • 2

I have had many good dinners at the frog and the peach over the years. Tonight that all ended: starting from the valet being overwhelmed and overpriced.
Dinner service was just horrible: the several waiters assigned to our table were not coordinated in the least. Twice we were told about the specials, but only a long time thereafter did anyone come to take our order. Then after a very long wait out apps came - none of the servers could figure out where to put the proper plate. My gnocci was mediocre, my wifes kale salad was poor.

The mains were no better - again the wait staff could not figrure out which plate went to which patron. Again the plate was mediocre: my lamb neck was passable but hardly good. My wife's hanger steak was undercooked while the sweet potatos were mushy. The high light was the mac and cheese. Our friends scallops were reportedly OK.

Then again a long wait for dessert and the coffee was no where to be seen. At this point, at least they noticed that the service was horrible because they said somthing. But by this time it was too late.

I will not be returning and I can not reccomend that you go either.

Stage Left, Duo Mare, Steakhouse 85.....go there instead

  1. The service problems at Frog and the Peach are not a new or one time issue. The service which used to be very good has been getting increasingly worse for a long time now.

The food is still good but not as good as it once was. This place can certainly still be turned around but if the decline continues it will not last.

    1. Folks, if you've eaten at the Frog and Peach and have your own opinions on the food and service, that's great, please go ahead and post them.

But if you're jumping in to debate whether the original poster should or shouldn't have posted about their bad experience, or should have handled the situation differently, that's really off-topic. Chowhound members are allowed to post about their experiences, good and bad.
