Fo Guan Shan Temple Richmond

Has anyone heard of a restaurant in this temple? It is located by the Aberdeen skytrain. I saw a vegetarian meetup is going there, but I'm not sure how the food is.

I think this is the one in the Radisson complex where the Presidents Plaza Foodcourt is located. Also note that that Foodcourt has a number of vege friendly stalls because of this.

Did not see an address with this temple but I have had a few meal at a Temple located at 9160 Steveston Hwy
      Richmond, BC V7A 1M5

They serve lunch and dinner. The food was good and interesting since there is no meat.

It has been a few years since I have been there but it should still be there. I will report back after my next trip.

I believe fmed mentioned that it's in the food court.
        Next to O'tray iirc.
So it's not in an actual temple I believe.

Yes, but the OP asked about a Temple. I have seen the food court but have not tried anything there. I like Parker Place and Yohan center better.

The temple is NOT in the food court. But the excellent O'Tray is. Great tian jin wrap and "burger" for late lunch today. This complex is large, however, so the temple must be elsewhere inside it.

It is on the ground level of the temple. They serve meal to the workers and other visitors.

The temple is on the top level of that complex. It has its own cafeteria (which is not part of the food court).

ETA: It is called the International Buddhist Progress Society. Phone number in this directory http://www.presidentplaza.ca/phoneboo...

I believe the meetup was a special event, not a regular restaurant..though I think there is some sort of refreshments offered at the temple for sale.

BTW, does O'tray have any pesco-vegetarian options (no red meat or chicken)?

The Jian bing and doufu nar which are both recommended are vegetarian friendly.

Their sesame cold noodle is also quite good.

Stop by yesterday and found the temple on Steveno son Road open for lunch. Opens 11:30 for lunch. Did not have time to eat.

I was in the neighbourhood and I popped my head into the actual temple. The dining hall is inside the temple on the 6th - the top floor of the building. Walk into the temple entrance and turn to the left before you enter the actual prayer area.
