Dumb Question: What does the link button do?

Any idea what the link button at the bottom of threads does?

  1. Click to Upload a photo (10 MB limit)
  1. Not a dumb question at all. What it does is change the URL at the top of the page to the specific address of the post that you were on when you hit link. That way you can direct people to the exact info in a thread you want to share. I usually just cut and paste it in where needed.

Uh oh, still confused. So if I hit link on my post above it would change the URL to this page no? Isn't it already on this page? Oooh! I think I just got it. It directs them to the specific post on the page? So you click it, copy that link at the top and then paste it for someone else to see your exact post

You got it fldhkybnva, that's exactly how it works.

Or you can right click (control click on a Mac) on the "Link" and you can copy the link to your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you want.
