Hiroshima is HOT!

Not only is Costco opening in March 2013, Michelin is publishing their fourth guide in Japan, for the Hiroshima area. Who else is excited? I would have thought other larger cities would have been the next target, or even Fukuoka and Kyushu. They must be feeling diss'ed.

Who needs Michelin Hiroshima when we have E Eto in the house? Just curious - what's a Japan Costco like compared to a typical Costco in SoCal? When my cousin told me that Hiroshima was getting a Costco and couldn't wait, I told her she was going to need a bigger house...

Wine pairings with okonomiyaki...was my first thought...But yeah, Fukuoka or Kyushu general or even Kanazawa/Takayama are two areas I would have thought to be in line for coverage...But anyway, go Carp go!

My first reaction is sake pairings with Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. Hiroshima sake largely has its own style, marked by a rather soft mouthfeel. Of course, that sake goes well with oysters also.
