ISO Ratios in Trader Joe's Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
Has anyone tried this yet? It has worked well for me in a number of pancakes and quick breads, but it comes in a fairly small bag, so I'm trying to recreate it. The ingredients are simply whole grain brown rice flour, potato starch, rice flour and tapioca flour.
I'd also love to know. I just picked up a bag today. It seems to have the same ingredient list as the King Arthur Gluten Free All Purpose, which I was planning to pick up at my local health food market today, but $9.79 for a 1-lb box is ridiculous. I was happy to see that TJ's had their own version for 1/3 the price.
I found a recipe on the websites of both Land o Lakes and Taste of Home that call for 2 c rice flour, 2/3 c potato starch, and 1/3 c tapioca flour. (Land o Lakes includes 1 tsp xanthan gum as well.) Maybe try that and see how it comes out?
