Pho Republique Tuna Sashimi Rolls

Does anyone remember some of the dishes that they used to serve at Pho Republique on Washington Street in the South End? I remember an appetizer that was essentially a spring/egg roll wrapper filled with sashimi grade tuna, sticky rice, avocado, lettuce, and maybe seedless tomato. Does anyone else remember the components of this dish? Thanks!

    Are you talking about the fried version? That was off the hook. I used to order those for parties.

      Yes! The fried version! I'm trying to recreate them because obviously we can't get the originals anymore.

        I used to cook there actually,for a short time and AGES ago. I remember sticky sushi rice , wasabi, pickled ginger, and of course tuna. In a spring roll wrapper and pan fried. Could have been avocado too, but definatley the other ingredients. I think that's about it.

          This was one of my favorite restaurants when i lived in the South End. Does anyone know how they made their candied spareribs? They were the best i have ever had. I would love to be able to try them at home.

            There was talk of Pho Republic relocating. Is this idea now dead?
