What the hell? As far as I could tell, there was nothing failing about that restaurant. The one thing I had hoped for (okay, it was two but a liquor license is mere fantasy on my part) the one thing was more comfortable chairs and tables. This picture says I can dream on. Is Restaurant Takeover good for anything?

I'll add that their cooking could use just a little tweaking. I've often thought that with just a few minor, and I mean very minor, changes, the food could sparkle without risk of alienating the customers who come there for comfort food or making it too complicated for the staff to handle.

I sure hope they reschedule the shoot to a day unaffected by Snowmageddon. It'd be bad if it looked like no one goes there for lunch.

Jeez, I sure hope that's all there it to it. The signage is completely gone which isn't the sorta thing I would have thought needed a reno. Nothing posted in the windows that might give you a clue. Fingers crossed.

Drove past on Friday and a new sign was up..."Churrasco Portugril", I think it said. Couldn't really tell if it was open for business, but at least it appears that it's a reno, not a closure.

Yep, I saw the new sign last night too. I'll let you know if I see any lights on. I was thinking, "Why the devil would they spend the money on new signage when they haven't been open that long?" Okay. It makes sense now. Website, phone #, tells locals it's Portuguese, and in case you haven't figured out what they're Portugril'lin, the "L" is a chicken. Very clever if I do say so myself. Clear and succinct. Now if only they'd get a liquor license...
