LFY Cochon non est

Figure it as you will, Mr Link has announced that his 14-month-old Lafayette Cochon will be shutting down on Feb 10, yielding its nice riverview to Baton Rouge's own Ruffino's. Public spin is that he i concentrating on the New Orleans shop and his new wood-fired everything restaurant. This new shop sound interesting: I never could really cotton to "shaved headcheese.'

Saw that he announced it quietly on the Cochon Butcher FB page. He found out quickly that the Lafayette folk don't eat out mid-week nearly as much as New Orleanians, plus the missing chunk of tourists. Shame, such a beautiful space that was built.
