Istanbul - Ciya Sofrasi - a couple of quick questions

Hi. We're going to be in Istanbul for a couple of nights in March and I have a res at Ciya Sofrasi. Their website, in English anyway, is pretty sparse. Could you tell me if they take credit cards? Also what should we expect to pay for a dinner for two? Just want to be prepared. TIA.

Ciya is always one of my favorite spots in Kadikoy! Just went there again about 2 weeks ago and had a Turkish kebab dish cooked with quince! Delicious! I'd say 100 tl max for 2 people if you do the salad bar and select mezes, soup, main course and dessert. I've only paid cash, but I'm fairly sure they take credit cards.

Thanks for the feedback. The chef/owner sounds so interesting. And I think the ferry ride sounds nice also. Actually I found on Tripadvisor the info that they DO take credit cards.

If I remember correctly, they take credit cards. I think you should be OK with spending 120 Turkish Lira for 2 people. If you're interested, read my review from my meal from the summer of 2010.

When you'll be going and which neighboorhood you'll be staying?

We'll be there in early March and we'll be in the area of Sehzade Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, and Grand Bazaar. Not looking for anything approaching grand but rather typical Turkish cooking. TIA.

Not sure but most likely. Would try Hamdi. Book table at top floor.
