ISO Green Lamb Tripe in Toronto
Hi, I think this would be the best place to look for the people with answers. I'm searching for raw green lamb tripe. I was told it would most likely be found in a Greek butcher shop. Does anyone know where in the GTA, I can get this product? Thanks!

feeding dogs Biologically Appropriate Raw Food since 1999. Research then indicated not legal to sell raw green for human consumption owing to bacteria, etc. So offtopic on Chowhound:
have fed raw green tripe from BoldRaw & SilverFern Silverfernpremiumpet.com (I buy @ Tails, 2211 QueenStE) as sleeves of 2x8oz frozen zip-bags $3.75, $4.75 for ground beef & lamb tripe. Also 5# pkgs chunks. Feed outside, esp after/with antibiotics. -
Please tell me you aren't looking for this to make dog food.
Try the greek butchers in Greektown, Louis Meat Market on Danforth and Ella's on Pape just south of Danforth.
You might also try some of the butchers in the SLM

I don't think it's easy to purchase; we've tried for years. But Bold Raw in Erin produces it for dogs. Aside from their own retail shop in Erin, the brand is available at numerous pet food shops in the GTA: http://www.boldraw.com/wheretobuy.html You might want to check with the store before going to make sure they carry the tripe.
Our dogs are fed raw and absolutely love the stuff; the stinkier, the better. For your mother's sake, buy it already packaged (in 1-lb containers) and frozen from Bold Raw so you don't have to stink up the whole house.

re: Tatai
Hey there. I live in the Niagara Region, but the producer of my dog's raw food delivers weekly to Toronto. Raw lamb tripe is on the menu. I buy it all the time because my dogs can't have beef. Anyway, the name of the company is Big Country Raw. Their website has all of the info you'll need for ordering.
