Homemade corn tortillas in Atlanta

  • 3

Just got back from a work trip to Austin and realized just how much I miss fresh, homemade corn tortillas. (although not enough to make them myself). Any tips on where to get them in Atlanta? Thanks.

  1. Some while back you could by them at the farmers market on Buford Highway, just outside the perimeter. I don't know if they still have them.

    1. There's one paper-wrapped brand you see in the latin and multi-ethnic markets that always seems super fresh. There used to be a tortilla factory near the Sweetwater Brewery on Armour, but I don't know if it's still there or if they'd sell out the door.

      1. A Mexican restaurant in Fairburn called Taqueria Iztaccihuatl makes corn tortillas from scratch and it just so happens to be the very best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to in the Atlanta area.
