Every Friday on 10th St., and the Oakland Museum will stay open late for visitors!

      koja kitchen had the longest line at the opening.

      go streatery, fiveten burger had a few,

      all others, short line or no one in line.

        Oakland is so terrible at promoting things - I saw this only 'the day of' and we already had dinner with a friend set up.

        Hopefully, more people will show up as it continues on a weekly basis.

          oakland tribune is operated by a newspaper group that owns almost all the small papers in alameda and contra costa county.

          i don't subscribe to them, but surely they would/should promote this. but maybe this would offend their restaurant advertisers.

          the city of oakland may also be taking the same attitude.

            I went around 6:45 and the place was hopping with live music and families with kids. There were 20-30 people in queue at pretty much every truck. I think at open (5 PM) it may have been too early to get the crowds in.
            Foodwise - nothing much new to report. Chairman's bao's were as good as ever. Oh, except there was some interesting individual drip coffee (and Tcho hot chocolate) served at the "Blue Oak Cafe" inside.
