ISO Tej/Honey Wine

Anyone know where to get bottled Ethiopian Tej/Honey Wine or any other Ethiopian wine?

I'm in the process of making my own for my Ethiopian themed party, but just in case it goes south I want more options! I've never seen it in any of the liquor stores I frequent (Liquor Land, Blanchards)

An oddball suggestion, but maybe worth a call: there's a little market called the "Thistle and Shamrock" on Walden St near Porter square in Cambridge, which sells beer/wine, and has a hand-written sign on the door that they carry Injera. Until recently, they also used to have signs saying they carried Ethiopian take-out, but those signs were gone when I popped in late at one recently. (There was also no sign of injera, but they were closing for the night, and I didn't pursue the matter...)

I don't know what the Ethiopian connection is (or if it still exists), but it's the one place I can think of with a potential Ethiopian + alcohol combination!

So you mean to tell me they discontinued the grab-and-go corned beef & cabbage injera wraps ?

Now it's only on St Petros day! :)

That is definitely worth checking out.

I might just end up asking my local purveyors of alcohol whether they might have a source to purchase from. I'd happily get a case if necessary.

I don't think I've ever seen it at retail in Greater Boston, only in restaurants like Addis Red Sea. There are some NY online retailers that carry it, but most won't ship to MA.
