Irving Plaza Final Destination

Hi. We are arriving at 1 tomorrow at Gramercy Park Hotel and wonder where we can bar hop and have great food in the vicinity. It may be snowing so no cabs. My husband wants taverny but we both want great food since we do this infrequently.

Any suggestions?

Thank you from Central NJ!

Thank you thank you! We feared it would be hard to get a cab in the snow, that's all. Leaving Princeton in 45 minutes. Thx for the awesome suggestions. What about Craft?

Craft is excellent but pricey. You can dine at the bar, I believe.

It may be tough to get a seat at Casa Mono -- they have tables and counter seating, no "first come, first served" bar area. They send you next door to Bar Jamon for that.

Another option is ABC Kitchen. You can dine at the bar or at some tables reserved for walk-ins. There aren't very many.

The Tavern Room at Gramercy doesn't take reservations and hopefully the wait won't be too long. You can dine at the bar as well, if some seats open up.

Same for the front room at Maialino.

ABC Kitchen sounds interesting! Combining dining and shopping.

I'd put Pete's Tavern on the list for a drink. Tough to be more taverny, maybe Old Town Bar as well. For food, you've got Mailino in your hotel, Casa Mono and Gramercy Tavern in the nearby area. Cabs are still pretty functional in the snow so I would not let that dictate anything.
