High quality chocolates for a party - suggestions appreciated.

psnative Jan 24, 2013 02:38 PM

I am invited to a party in a swell part of town and was told not to bring any alcohol or flowers so chocolate seems the thing. Russell Stover won't cut it here folks. Any suggestions for great chocolates? I was thinking Nunu. Thank you!

I like Payard on West Houston. Very expensive, but high quality. In Brooklyn, try Jomart. Not the same quality, but at about $27 a lb, very decent.

Kee's Chocolate has my absolute favorite chocolates in NYC. I like them better than Masion du Chocolat, Jacques Torres, Vosges, Cacao Prieto, Teuscher, etc.

I think Nunu is a great idea. Include some of their beer and/or booze chocolates (unless the no alcohol restriction applies to the chocolates as well).
