Casual indoor places near Yonge and Carleton

Any places not filled with a loud Yonge St crowd, but near Yonge and Carleton/ College. A reasonably quiet place. I'm thinking of an early Fri night dinner. Possibly average menu and some nice vegetarian choices. Doesn't have to be a "foodie" place. Thanks.

Raijin Ramen is right at Yonge and Gerrard. Right now it still seems easy to get a table and they are not crazy loud.

If you don't mind going about 5 blocks north of College, Koiyo on Irwin is a small Japanese izakaya that has been around a long time, but doesn't get many mentions. Small and quiet with a nice menu.

Brownstone Bistro (Yonge & Gloucester http://www.brownstonebistro.ca/winterlicious ) and Daio (45 Carlton) are open for dinner, and were recommended in this Yonge & College lunch thread:
http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/879419 Most of the other restaurants mentioned in the thread are on the casual and quiet side, and open for dinner.

You might also want to consider Adega on Elm St.
