Creative Catering Options for First Birthday Party

Anyone have any ideas for unique or creative catering options for my daughter's first birthday party? (And I'll be the first to admit that the party is more for my husband and me than for her!) We're looking for something fun and different that will satisfy the adults but still be appropriate for a child's party - nothing over the top. We'd like to avoid the ubiquitous "taco man," as we've done that for a couple of our previous parties. We'll have around 30-40 people and would like to keep our food cost under $800. We're open to all types of food, and the party will be at our house. Would love to hear your ideas!

  1. Punjabi Tandoor is doing catering and the food is good and not too expensive. You could just ask them to come to the Kate O Session Park in PB and let them cater some of their curries, naans etc. The park is great for adults and babies/toddlers (we visited birthday parties for babies there before)

Thanks, appreciate it! Definitely looking into this.

    2. Been to great parties at the dock where they have hired a Paella guy that fed about 40-50 people..sides were not provided.
Luau Pig is another option..cost for the pig was around $500
Crawfish Boil..messy pain in the arse..imo
Food trucks or In and Out truck..

If your child is a girl, nothing like a barbie cake!
