First SGV Chinese restaurant with a "Cold Table"?

A question for the veterans of the SGV scene (chandavkl, I'm looking at you). What restaurant was the first in the SGV to have the Sichuan style cold table/cold counter?

Any ideas? Time frame?

      I can only take a wild guess--Hua's Chinese Delicacies, 1999, the predecessor of the Yun(*.*) Garden chain.

        There was a Sichuan restaurant in the old strip mall that had Diho Market that had a cold table with chafing dishes of things like pickled radishes, marinated cold julienned potatoes, etc. Can't remember the name of it, however ...

          That would be Szechwan Express, which opened in the mid-1990s

            It was before that, and it was not Szechwan Express.

            The place I am referring to was probably there at least until the mid/late 80s.

              OK. Ju Lo, which probably opened in the late 1970s, 1980 at the latest.

            Where was the Diho Market? That one pre-dates my area involvement.

              It's the shopping center currently occupied by Elite. The building that's now an adult care center or something like that.

                That shopping center also housed the first Ding's, and also one of the first places that had Taiwanese breakfast (yiou-tioa, soy milk (sweet and savory), etc.) and some of the best potato salad bread sandwiches I've ever had.

                  I'm pretty sure it's an adult day care center. I remember when Diho market opened. It created quite a buzz in the local Chinese community back in the days.
