Where to buy Quinces & Citrons now?

Does anyone know where I can buy quinces & citrons here in the Chicago metropolitan area? BTW, I live in the West Rogers Park neighborhood.

Fresh Farms in Niles may have the quinces (more common in the fall, but these days, who knows?). Give them a call.

I don't know for sure, and hopefully anyone who has seen them will post here. But the places that I would try if I were looking for them would be the stores that specialize in produce and international items, like Marketplace on Oakton in Skokie. You might also try the big Asian grocery stores (HMart in Niles and Naperville, Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights); even though those two fruits aren't normally associated with Asian cuisine, those stores have huge produce departments.

Marketplace on Oakton usually has quinces in stock, but there may be some seasonal fluctuations. I've seen them occasionally in other places like Garden Fresh Markets

I've never seen citrons at any of the suburban produce places, but I've never been looking for them, either.
