Collector's Cafe on North King's Highway is excellent, and has a beautiful interior, though perhaps a bit on the pricey side. I can't quite remember what the average price of an entree is there, and I don't see prices listed on the website, although they do have their lunch & dinner menus posted. I would encourage you to check out the website and see what you think of the food - I've visited MB every single summer of my life and I def consider this to be one of the finest "fine dining" spots in the area. If you don't want to eat there, you might consider stopping in for a coffee or drink (they're also a coffee bar) and checking out the awesome art hung up around the restaurant.
For less fancy/pricey but also fun, Villa Romana on S King's Highway has made quite a name for itself as the best local authentic Italian restaurant in MB. It fosters more of a "big Italian family" feel, and as far as I can remember the staff is always very friendly. I've spent more time at Collector's, but I've never heard anything but great things about Villa Romana. Check out their website as well - they also have menus posted.
