Whole pieces of Sassafras ?
I was in Detroit over the weekend and at their farmer's market I saw two different vendors selling Sassafras bark/pieces of branches. I picked up a small bundle out of curiosity and recently started researching about sassafras
Has anyone ever seen it sold in the GTA region?
I have been reading about " safrole " and I am thinking that is why I haven't seen it sold around here before. I am wondering if I should even use what I bought now. It smells great but if it is really proven to cause liver damage, etc I am wondering what quantities would lead to that, etc. I was thinking of steaping in cream and making an ice cream from it or making a tea from it....
