Harriet Brassierie
Located in Linden Hills adjacent to Tilia (talk about tough competition).
On first impression, this is a nice place. Welcoming decor and staff at lunch today. I had a duck taco and a beet salad and a glass of prosecco.
The beet salad (with frisee and citrus and finely chopped nuts and stuff) was good, not great. The beet salad next door was better last time I was at Tilia.
The duck taco was served like they do from taco trucks, on two corn tortillas. The filling was pretty darn good. The only dig was the tortillas were dry and tough. For $4, it'd be nice to have a tender tortilla. Certainly nowhere near as good as the tortillas at Maya Cuisine.
The prosecco was really good. The wine list was interesting but somewhat expensive around $10-$13 / glass.
If this place were on St. Clair Ave. in St. Paul, I'd go there because it's close to home. If I lived in Linden hills area, I'd go there when Tilia was closed or overly full.
