Pittsburgh - Good BYOBs?
I will be in Pgh for weekend of Feb 1-3 and would love to try a Pgh-area
BYOB. I will be staying in the South Hills, but will have a car and am willing to travel to other neighborhoods. I have eaten at (and loved) Wild Rosemary, but am unfamiliar with any other Pgh BYOBs. Thanks.

I really like Piccolo Forno in Lawrenceville (pizza and pasta)
Sausalido if you're looking for something a little fancier, but not too fancy.
La Tavola in Mt. Washington for traditional Italian
Mediterrano in the North Hills is also very good. Please let us know where you decide to go!

re: MonMauler
We are new to the area and have only eaten at Root 174 once, but...they were serving excellent cocktails and had a short, reasonable wine list as well.

re: Effort
Agree totally. If you don't feel like going into city for some of the other recs, these two are both excellent.
Btw, KousKous is Moroccan, Cucina Bella primarily pizza, but other choices as well. The pizza is on a par (just a hair below) with Il Pizzaiolo. I'd throw in Bado's Cucina in McMurray as another good BYO option.
