Stinger Ray's at maui airport

Stinger rays is a darn good restaurant for an airport. Nice seating great beer selection and lo al food done nicely. My Kahlua pork sandwich was perfect. If the location were on the beach or some other scenic place it would get lots of love.

The kalua pork itself is pretty good, but no better than I can get from my crock pot at home. We had some on nachos before our flight out. And I've always liked their mai tais, but this trip I was just tired of sweet drinks. I didn't find Stinger Rays to be anything more than typical airport food.

Good to know. I had one meal at the HNL location - never again. Have avoided the OGG spot based on that experience. Next time in OGG I'll give it a try.

For the amount of money I've spent at OGG Stinger's drinking before heading out to the mainland, I could of supported a small, very festive Country in the Cook Islands.

Sadly the same can not be said for their Honolulu Location. Poor to mediocre food, poor service. I've tried it twice, can't imagine any reason I'd give it a thrid try. Good to know the same is not true on Maui.

I'm there about twice a year for the past ten years. Service is consistently fine. Food is great for what it is. Burgers and fried stuff, pulled pork. Quality is out of proportion to an otherwise grubby airport. Somehow OGG is a fitting airport code.
