76 Pleasant Street, Norway, Maine

The pros:
The house itself is lovely, the service gracious, and the presentation of the food perfect.

The cons:
Our hearts of romaine salad with anchovy white balsamic didn't have any hint of anchovy. It was a perfectly average caesar salad.
In a loose interpretation of a brik, an envelope of dough was replaced by puff pastry. There were some interesting spices going on, but the shaved fennel and cabbage slaw was really sweet and didn't complement the brik.
The duck was way too salty, and some of the duck was bleu in the middle. The gratinee had no crust on top and was served lukewarm. I thought the limp salad on the plate was the best part.

Nothing was inedible - it was all perfectly fine. I ate everything and didn't send anything back, but I wouldn't be interested in returning. It's about as good as Oxford House, which is saying something.
