I've been meaning to do the Copper Fox tour for a while. Ralfy gave their "Scotch" good marks and applauded their attempts at doing something new.

You are welcome. It sounds like you have tasted Corsair's whisky.

If anyone else has tasted any of the whiskies mentioned in this article and can offer some feedback, that would be great.

Of those mentioned, I've only had the St. George.

I've never liked it, and I do like malts like Highland Park, Oban, and Macallan. I found it to be coarse, rough on the finish, and hot.

HOWEVER, to be fair, I've also stopped tasting it when I visit the distillery, which is about four miles from where I live. That means I haven't tasted the last 2-3 "batches" they've bottled, so . . . take my comments with how many ever grains of salt you deem appropriate.

I've had all the ones mentioned, most I've tasted several different batches over the past few years. Several of them I also tried before being fully aged when still prototypes. I think the Times artical was accurate.

I love reading about my local distillery getting national press. If anyone gets a chance..I highly recommend trying Corsair's triple smoke.
