Angel Food Cake - Make ahead, or best baked the day of?

I am hosting a dinner for 13 and making this simple, and light cake for the honoree who adores pumpkin. Your input on whether a tender cake such as this will suffer if made a day ahead, or better to bake it the morning, or afternoon of to ensure freshness? TIA.

    don't forget the 2 hrs of cooling time

      If you want to maximize the texture, then bake it the day of.
