Bought a whoopsie from asda forgot about it. It smells a little vinegary looks a little brown round the edges. Is it still safe to cook and eat please help don't want to waste it if I can get away with just two days. Reply ASAP need help. I will start cooking it now for 120 minutes like it says on low heat until someone replies. Thanks all.

I would marinate it first, for 6-12 hours, just to allay any concerns and to make sure the edges don't taste off.

If it was chicken or seafood I might worry a little.
With beef I reckon you'll be fine, just don't cook it rare if you're worried.
The BBF dates are best before not when it's gone off and they err on the side of caution.

I still have paella rice that's four years out of date and I've been fine using it.
