Brazilian cafe in Ktown run by a very friendly older Korean couple. It's a small place but very neat, tidy and brightly painted. Small menu but a good variety.

We started out by ordering one of everything from their appetizers. One each of the chicken, cheese and beef pastels, cohinxa and pao de queso.

Pastels weren't bad but I've had better. But the cohinxa and pao de queso? Wow! I loved, loved, loved the cohinxa. Nice crispy outside, creamy potato inside and the filling of chicken and cheese was well seasoned and spiced. Just this warm creamy goodness.

The cheese bread was very good. Came out warm, slightly chewy crust and the interior with the cheese just right texture, not cold or gummy. Absolutely loved these two appetizers.

We were warned by the owner that the coxinha usually sells out early.

For entrees, they have choices of different meats such as chicken, skirt steak, fish, brazilian sausage,etc. All come with the greens, rice, black beans and a small bowl of farofa. We each got the picanha plate. Came with carmelized garlic on top and pretty good, not top steakhouse quality but for $14, good portion and quality.

They also put out some banchan before the food comes. Overall, just a good solid neighborhood place with excellent prices for the food quality and quantity with friendly warm service. Several entrees under $10.

But definitely come here for the cohinxa and pao de queso. If they actually served feijoda I'd make the drive regularly.

  1. I visited this place recently and really enjoyed the sandwich capaira (spelling might be off), stir fried beef, onions and peppers on a soft roll. It was very good.
