Which Le Creuset piece is this?

I recently bought a Le Creuset oval multi function pan. I got it off ebay and was able to get a great deal. I am curious if anyone knows what this pan is actually called and what color it is? The color is similar to ocean with blue hues vs the green hues. It almost looks like Marseille mixed with ocean. Under the handle its listed 4.25 quart (#27). Any help would be much appriciated.

  1. I can't help you with the official LC name of the color or the piece, but wanted to congratulate you on a nice deal, especially as it seems to be two pieces in one. The lid is deep enough to be very useful on its own as a gratin dish or shallow baker.

    1. Never seen this before and I'm the daughter of two foodiephiles and inherited the gene. Is it ceramic or cast iron? My opinion is it is not vintage and from a country outside the US. Or they mixed two things together.

      1. @ellabee- Thanks so much!! I really thinks its unique and one of a kind piece. I plan to make au gratin potatoes in the lid while using the base for something else.

@mojave- Its cast iron... I don't think its vintage either. I believe its maybe from the late 90's or early 2000's but I can't tell for sure. Also your right it could be from another country... that would make a lot of sense. I haven't seen any of these before.

If it's actually made by Le Creuset, and it's enameled cast iron, then it was made where all the rest of their ECI is.

The LC stoneware is made in China or Thailand.
