Dinner and brunch in Monterey/Carmel

Hello,

Haven't been to Monterey/Carmel area since the foie gras ban. I only have one night and one brunch/lunch.
What is your favorite, and not miss nowadays?

Been to passionfish. Loved it, but want to try something different.

Between Pacific Edge, Marinus and Sierra Mar, which has the best food?

Or perhaps somewhere new like 1833, Mandaka, or???

Please help.

Mundaka is very good.

I wasn't impressed with the food at Pacific Edge but my experience is a year and a half old now. For fine dining, I've found the food at Aubergine to be far better but I haven't dined at Marinus or Sierra Mar.
