Latte Art?

Anybody know of any coffee places in LA that do latte art? I've seen many great photos; would love to see it in person!

Try Kean in OC, bonus points for going to Tustin where they roast right at the shop.

etchings: Urth, Macchiato, de cafe Baristas,

free pour: pick your poision - Dulce, Demitasse, Cognoscenti (either location), Balconi, Handsome (when they feel like it). paper/plastik. All YMMV.

free pour with K-pop blasting: Iota,

etchings and free pour: Coffee Tomo

Artistic AND great tasting coffee - Balconi Coffee Company (near Sawtelle & Olympic). Sato-san runs a tight ship.

That is etching, not free pour art. The big thing about latte art is that the milk has to be steamed perfectly and the espresso has to be at least adequate. Etching needs neither.

OP asked for latte art, which is open to interpretation. Now if the OP said free pour art, well then...

I had never heard of etching v free pour before you two spoke of it, so it was news to me. Glad to learn more about the topic!

Just about all decent espresso joints not named Peets or Starbucks routinely do latte art. beware however latte art does not necessarily mean a good drink/

Cannot help you in L.A., but in Taiwan there is a chain of coffee shops that have only one coffee, but their signs offer you at least 100 ways to have it 'decorated'.
