Snake dishes in SGV? Where?

  • 2

Where can I find snake in the SGV? ...and how about Canto style snake soup since it's Wintertime?

Some say Phong Dinh no longer has it on the menu, but I note and interesting gap on the menu, skipping from #109-#113, curiously between Alligator and Eel. And #111 was the snake in lot leaves, so...possibly?

If someone can speak Vietnamese could make a call and report back, it would be appreciated :-)

  1. Answering myself here, confirmation that Phong Dinh no longer has snake on the menu. Hop Woo in Chinatown has it, but anywhere in the SGV?

yeah, they got rid of it a couple years back. there were a lot of poor reviews on their snake dishes so they eventually took it off. although i don't know what it would be like if you were to pester them to make it...

i'm not much on help on snake other than to ask someone who likes to hike up in the hills or the frozen kind in the freezer section of vietnamese markets in little saigon
