Lunch options this coming friday

Monica Jan 13, 2013 05:23 PM

Both my husband and I have half days and we'd like to have a nice lunch in midtown area this Friday. As always, I can't seem to decide on a place. Some of the places I am thinking of are, the modern bar or dining room, La bernadin lunch prixe fixe, Aquavit, La grenouille and Esca.
To me, this lunch is very special as we couldn't go out to eat after we had our 2nd kid and I don't know when our next fancy meal will be. We both like everything which makes it even harder to decide.
Help me pick a place~

If you're thinking of Le Bernardin, you should just GO to Le Bernardin.

There is not a better restaurant in New York City.

Lunch at Le Bernadin sounds wonderful except I have been hearing some negative reviews here.

Regardless of reviews here, if you like fish there is NO BETTER restaurant in NYC.

Not on your list, but Marea was one of my best lunch experiences in NYC.

I love Le Bernardin but the subtle seafood preps and formality aren't to everyone's tastes. If you're having doubts try Jean-Georges instead.
