Looking for some new salad ideas, no pasta or fish, please.

Have you tried quinoa salad yet? There's one called International Quinoa salad and it's lovely!

Thanks. I've tried other versions of quinoa salad and I was hoping I would like quinoa, but I just didn't care for it.

It's a great salad! I've made it using Israeli couscous instead of quinoa

I would try that, although Israeli couscous to me falls under pasta. Keep the ideas coming please.

One that I make often- arugula with roasted zucchini slices. Lemon vinaigrette top with feta or tofu to make a meal.

Romaine, cucumbers, radishes, green apple. Crispy rounds of goat cheese. Orange or grapefruit vinaigrette.

Mixed greens, pomegranate seeds, fennel. Honey mustard balsamic vinaigrette.

Log on to the New York Times and search for the series of articles Mark Bittman did over the years on vegetable salad. Things like shredding fresh asparagus. Or, since they're in season, here he is offering Ten Pear Salads http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/20...

Thanks, that's a good idea. I will do a search on it. I was thinking more vegetable salads when I posted, fruit salads didn't even cross my mind, but pear salad sounds good for when I'm in the mood of fruit salad.
