Vanilla extract?

Anybody have a brand they think is superior?

I've always enjoyed Bassett & Morton's vanilla extract...as well as their other spices.

I prefer Penzeys and Nielsen-Massey, but Rodelle is an excellent value (from Costco). I've purchased the double-strength from Penzey's and I didn't think it's twice as potent as the regular strength.

I've been wanted to try the Vanilla Crush?

I like Sonoma Syrup Co.'s Vanilla and their Vanilla Crush, which has the little bean specks in it. Both are a little more floral than some other vanillas.
When I want one that is less flowery, I use Neilsen Massey.

Both Nielsen Massey and Penzey's are excellent. These days I'm using Penzey's double strength--you only need half as much as called for in the recipe.

              Nielsen-Massey.

I've not yet tried it, but Penzey's double-strength vanilla is excellent as well.

I love vanilla, and say a +1 on Penzey's. Also, anything Madagascar can't be too bad.
